“Step aerobics was introduced in the late 1980's and has revolutionized the fitness industry more than any activity to date”. This relatively low impact form of exercise typically involves music, a platform ranging from 4-12 inches in height, and movements utilizing the large muscle groups of the body. Step aerobics is usually a rather intense workout; however the intensity can easily be modified to benefit individuals of all fitness and ability levels.
